Command line backup?

Is there out a tool that allow to backup a dvd9 onto a dvd5 via commandline?

Not as far as I'm aware ATM, but that said, it wouldn't be overly hard to write one using a batch file and maybe a bit of programming to write a GUI.

I've written a custom piece of software for my own use that uses a batch file to rip files from my DVD-ROM using DVDDecrypter, create a D2V file and demux the audio using DVD2AVI, re-encode the audio using BeSweet (if desired), re-encode the video using TMPGEnc, and multiplex using mplex, leaving me with DVD-compliant MPEGs, ready to author.

It offers me a choice of frame size, encoding rate control and bitrates for both video and audio. I then author and burn manually, as I'm not familiar with any authoring software that allows CLI. Should you be able to find one, it would also be relatively easy to integrate mkisofs and DVDDecrypter into the process to handle making an ISO file and burning it.

So conceivably, if I can get the CLI authoring side of things down, I could have a go-to-woe DVD Backup solution similar to that of DVD-RB.
