  1. Please help me. I used to be a DVD Sony Architect user, but I've seen the adobe product so I got it.

When I make a test dvd, it never works on a set-top dvd player.
I've chaged the settings of the transcoding to CBR 5.8 mbps and dolby digital 160 kbps sound. It sounds right, but when I write it to a DVD-RW it does not work.
DVD-RWs are compatible with my set-top unit.
The first time it loads it freezes, when I reload the disk, the screen shows play and then abruptly show stop. I does recognize it as "DVD".

Also, when transcoding, it say "Compatibility: PC-Based Software Dvd Players" or something equivalent.

Is it possible to fix this problem using this software. If so, how ??,
If it is a Transcoding Preset, then please upload the setting file http://www.megaupload.com/ and post the link so there are no typos, or errors etc,

    Any help is welcome
    Thanks in advance

I would start by choosing a more standard audio setting - 192 is closest to what you have currently. Commercial disks tend use 192 for stereo / 2 channel AC3, and either 394 or 448 for 5.1 channel AC3. Stick with these if you can for maximum compatability.

The best way to dubunk these kinda problems is to see if you can forego Adobe Encore's ability to burn right out of the program and
try creating a VIDEO_TS structure on the HARD DRIVE as your projects output
9 outta 10 I'll bet NERO will make your ABOBE build playable in all settops..
I believe its someting not worked out in your case specially between your burner and the program..pehaps fixable, but workaroundable

I agree completely. I use Encore and TDA almost for 100% of all my projects and I have never had a problem with playback if I simply out put to a DVD folder structure or and Image which I then burn with any burning SW that will handle DVD files or Images. Nero will do both and DVD Decrypter is my 1st choice for writting from ISO image. Avoid the temptation to allow these programs to handle to burn for you. A good example that comes to mind is Pinnacle Studio 8 or 9. I is a DO ALL program, Capture - Edit - Effects - Music Creator - Authoring - Burning. I will not EVER use it to author or burn. Yet,,, it does a very good job at basic edits. FOr many jobs it is all yoou need. It does get labeled as CRAP due to its SH**Y authroing and burning capabilities.

Anyway, give it a try and just out put the project directly after you have previewed it fully in Encore and insured that it works 100% Nero 6 can burn the DVD files, IFO, BUP and VOBs in Movie Mode and should produce a well playing disk. If it still does not, you need to look at your media, burner and player.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

  6. I never have problem with Encore.
I install Encore on fresh install of Windows XP.

Don't believe to everting what write on manual of DVD players,
if write in manual its support play DVD-R or DVD-RW, in specially on cheap DVD players.
In reality its freeze after 20-50 min.
And use good DVD media, like TDK or Verbatim.
