I was able to sucessfully download a TiVo program from my Series 2 TiVo to my Mac. My problem is that I can not view it. I've had no luck using Quicktime, MPlayer, or VLC. According to their web page, Windows XP users can download and burn a show to a DVD. Is there a Mac solution?

  2. Tivo uses a windows dependant DirectShow filter to display their files. Unless you learn how to stream froma tyserver on your series 2 and set up tytools, then you need at least a copy of Virtual PC and a program called DirectShow Dump. That resulting file can be viewed bt VLC, but curiously not by Quicktime.

Does anyone know of a Mac version of directshow dump. I use it now and it works, but what a pain to transfer from Tivo to PC then PC to Mac...
