Is there such a thing? I am wondering because my GF has a PC that is kinda old school, not sure what model # and everything it is. Just know it's a Dell Optiplex something. It wasn't bought from a retail location it was like, at some convention or some crap.
Anyways, it has Windows ME and I want to change it to Windows 98. The only problem I am worried about is the drivers. I'm not sure what drivers I need. Can I just get generic drivers or something, or should I just try and find out the specifics of this PC?

Dell should provide drivers for everything on their website. Just look around the back for your "service tag", plug that into Delll support and it'll bring everything you need up. You can download the Windows 98 drivers, and you'll be all set.

If she has the re-install CD, Dell usually includes all of the drivers on the Resource CD. When you run the disc, it should start and show you all the devices it has and automatically install them if you allow it. At least their new ones do.

Nah, no resource CD w/ the PC. Not much software came w/ it I don't think.
I'll try looking them up on Dell's site.
Thanks.
