I'm trying to do a PAL to NTSC conversion on a stereo AC3 I have, but can't get anything to work. I've tried both AC3 Machine and BeLight and neither work. AC3 Machine does nothing when I hit the compile button, and BeLight looks like it's giving me a conversion, but the new file ends up still being in PAL format. Can anyone help?

  2. I'm lost why you are trying to convert the AC3? Why are you not just extracting it and then working on the Video?

If it is only AC3 audio why not just use it? If it is a PAL movie look in the guides to convert to NTSC.

I've already converted the video using this guide: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=222898

I'm now trying to convert the audio, but can't figure out how. I've tried using the audio as-is, but it's out of sync, so I need to convert it to match the video.

Re-do the video using the DGPulldown method. Then you don't have to much around with the AC-3 audio. This is best if you have 5.1 AC-3 but if you only have 2.0 AC-3 then first convert the 2.0 ac-3 to a 16-bit 48K Stereo PCM WAV audio file. Then use BeSweet to change the FPS going from WAV to WAV then convert the corrected-for-length WAV back to 2.0 AC-3

This is easy with a stereo 2.0 AC-3 audio track. It is harder with 5.1 AC-3 as you have to deal with 6 different WAV files.

DGPulldown works well and does not require a change in the audio.

  5. but the new file ends up still being in PAL format.
How you determine it is PAL?! Audio has not such a formating as PAL or NTSC.
