    I have a optorite dd1603 burner

    and i have some 16x dvd (memorex)


    I use alcohol 120 to burn my legal ISO backups.

    But when i set to MAXIUM. OR 12X. I still only get 8x burns.


    Help please?

    Is there a firmware update available for your burner?

    I had the same problem with the same media and then tried office depot 8X and would only burn at 4X.
    I did the firmware upgrade and it works fine now.
