    Hallo Users,

i had a problem with the latest/final revision. I used the programm some days with no errors, and now, since today, it freezes after startup. It is not possible to click any buttons or drag and drop files into the asset. The only way to close the programm ist with the taskmanager. I dit uninstall and a new install three times, with no succes. Any hints for me?

    System Win XPSP2 home.

Can you try deleting any dnb_xxxx.xml files in the SVCD2DVD folder to see if that resolves the issue?

After the new installation of the programm i had no dnb_xxx.xml files.

I have complete uninstalled Net Framwork and made a new installation of it (Rev. 1.1) with all service packs and fixes. With no succes. SVCD2DVD rev. 2 will not work.

I have installed SVCD2DVD 1.51.2.0 and it works with no errors. What's going on? What can i do??

    did this get solved?

Just tried to use this proggie after donating.

    Have NET v1.1 installed

When I run v2 just hangs and I am unable to do anything

It is a new clean install so no .xml files in directory

running win2k with 1024MB ram on a 2.8AMD if that helps at all

    Thanks in advance

Do you have an hour glass cursor at this stage?

What do you have for the following keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Badger I.T.\SVCD2DVD 2.0 in the registry?

Can you change the EnableTimers setting to False to see if that makes a difference?

that key did not exist in registry so I had to add it

made no difference whether value was set to true or false

No I don't have a hourglass, normal mouse arrow appears almost immediately after program is opened.

debug counters were there wih same values as yours posted

I can resize using the top right buttons but the application is very slow to respond and re-draw of screen is painfully slow. I can also minimize the windows but can not recover from minimizing and have to close the task manually

When you minimise - do you see the football in the "notify tray" at the bottom right? Double clicking on this brings back the normal window...

ok. What is the task manager showing? Is a single process hogging the CPU?

I used various tools to list process to files trying to find the rogue services.exe. After this, i booted in safe mode and deleted the rogue file. Cleaned up registry for instances of the file.

This was after about 3 hours of reading various web sites, a google for services.exe @ 100% gives a large amount of replies!
I'm now running at approx 2% cpu usage and everything appears to be working okay.
