  1. Hi,

I have a whole stack of music video clips that I like to play. The problem is that they all vary in volume so I am constanly turning my volume up and down.

So my question is: Is the a program I can run these trough to make all the volume levels the same?

    Cheers,
    Taark

Asno-one has answered this, I am guessing there is no simple solution. I am not aware of any simple way to batch process video clips to normalise audio. You may have no choice but to adjust each one manually.

I don't know of a single program that would make all the volume levels the same, but it wouldn't be that difficult to demux them all, adjust the volume of each clip in an audio editor and then remux them. It would probably be more time consuming that just finding a program you could dump them all into and say "make the volume the same", but if you can't find a program like that...

Hello Taark, I too have the same problem, Hundreds of mpg-2 files all varying in audio volume.

If you too have mpeg2 files, you can go through the demux, process audio, then remux, and hope that the audio stays in sync, or you can get DVD authoring software such as Ulead DVD Workshop2, or Sonic's DVDit5 or 6 (both of which are not that great). These software quthoring packages allow the audio to be adjusted for each clip.

You could also wait till Tsunami software's DVD Author Pro is released later this month. Better softwae, easy to use, and according to the TSUNAMI site, this software will also allow for adjusting the audio volume of a music video clip. :P :P :P

    Might also work with mpeg-1's

I can make you a batch that will demux, adjust the volume, and multiplex back..

    BUT.

It can only be done with MPEG-2 files.. so if you have mpg-2 files, tell me (Via PM), ill make it. it's really simple..
