    Hi, I have a pinnacle PCTV card hooked up to cable tv via svideo
    I was capturing @ 720*480 using Huffyuv but then switched to 704*480
    to me the picture looks better! I convert to dvd using TMPGenc 2.5 watching them back on my 42inch samsung dlp seams fine would there be any difference or i'm just hoping LOL.

    704 is within the specs. You'll be just fine. EDIT - as for a real difference thats probably just personal taste.
