  1. i have no idea why it does it, i try to encode a file and then halfway through the program just closes, no error messages nothing.

    It's really annoying because it's doing it every time i try to encode something.

    Does anyone know what might be causing this and how i can fix it ??

    Corrupted source file?

    Have you tried an uninstall and reinstall to see if that fixes the problem?

  3. i don't think thats the problem, i've decreased the priority of the AVI VFW compatiblity reader and thats helped.

    Bad frames in source avi can cause this. Try frameserving it through
    virtualdub first.
