Lots of comb lines in any motion in my MSP7 when saved as .wmv

I've searched/read up here on removing comb lines but MSP7 only has an option which cannot be enabled - "Allow interlaced processing" - Says it needs another codec (?)

Right now, I'm forced to create an avi from MSP7 and import to WMM which can handle it without the comblines.

But I'd rather use my own template in MSP7.

    How?

    Thanks

  2. On the WMV9 codec configuration dialog try selecting Encode Interlaced Frames on the Pre-Processing tab.

  4. You can right click on the video in the timeline and select Media Source Options, then deinterlace. I think it only does a blend deinterlace though.

    Yep...Just did it...blows.

Better let WMM handle stuff for the internet as it probably knows best.

My neighbor just handed me Premier. I think I'll try that since I haven't much luck with anything Ulead.

    Thanks anyway.

I just spent a couple of hours with a Ulead Sr. Video Production Engineer who flew in from Taiwan to demo the new MediaStudio Pro 8 (among other things) for my partner and I here in SF.

Intervideo has consciously re-positioned this software. It will no longer try to compete head on with Adobe or Sony (and others). Generally loved the interface! And I like the way they handle HDV. Download the BETA!

Don't give up on it just yet!

But can MSP8 handle deinterlacing without destroying the video? A blend isn't very good for a $500 program.

WMM can handle anything very nicely for the internet...interlaced or progressive. Just wish I could define the template but 512kbps or 638 (small) is very good on my Ultrasharp fp monitor.

I haven't given up on Ulead just yet and will compare it with Premier.

    Thanks

    zoobie,

Good question! I don't deinterlace my video so I will have to find out the answer to that question myself!

Deinterlacing destroys video. Don't do it.
