Is there a program that converts .m2a (mpeg 1 audio) to .aif?
I've tried quite a few already such as quicktime, itunes, ffmpeg, mpeg streamclip and even a few pc apps, but most think its a video file and get confused!
Cheers

There is a free program called "MoreMissingTools" that will do MPEG audio decoding, including decoding layers 1, 2 and 3. You can find it on this page:
http://homepage.mac.com/rnc/
MoreMissingTools is actually a GUI front end for (among other things) a UNIX tool called "mpg123" that does the actual decoding. -
