Can anyone tell me if there is a significant difference between the 530 and the 531 as far as Dvix and Xvid picture quality and processing power. I wanted to know if the 530 uses the same chipset as the 531.
Thanks

Looking around it seems that he only difference is in the upconverting. The chipsets seem to be the same.

Just wanted to bump this up as I'm also needing to choose a new DVD\DIVX\XVID player, and am interested in the LGs. Has anyone got new experience with the 530? On this site there's a pretty significant difference in user ratings between the 530 and 531. Is the upconverting actually a feauture which will be usefull down the road, or do/will most HDTVs have this built in already. Finally, has anyone found a better DIVX/XVID player in the same price range?
