    Can someone tell me what the fastest conversion program out there is from avi to mpeg. TMPGenc seems to be slower than dirt itself. Any information would be appreciated thanks.

    Hmmmm...

    You need;

    1 - A faster processor,
    2 - Better hard drive
    3 - more memory,
    4 - capture to mpg card,
    5 - READ THINGS FIRST...
    Serioulsy, 1-4 will help, but the fact that you even asked this question implies a lot.

    I reccomend a althon XP or p4.
