How can we amplify an audio with The Sound Forge?

If you're talking about making the soundfile louder, you could try one (or more) of a couple of things:
1. Mix it louder (adjust track fader level)--If that's already at its limit, then...
2. Apply GAIN to it (does same thing as fader, but applies either as file-resave (destructive) or realtime effect (non-destructive).
3. Apply NORMALIZE to it. Does same as gain, but automates by finding what peak is so that you know how high to set the gain. Good for keeping level high without inadvertently adding clipping.
4. Apply COMPRESSION (with GAIN) or LIMITING (with GAIN) to it. Does same as gain, but also changes the dynamic range so that more of the various levels are in a closer range to each other. This makes the overal sound louder--even when sometimes the peaks are quieter.
