  1. Newbie here to DVD printing

Been burning DVD's for a few years, and have usually purchased Memorex, Maxwell, Sony or other brands in stores. Basically whatever was on sell at the time I need them.

I recently purchased an Epson R200 to print onto the disc themselves, and Im curious what media to get now. My options arent so VAST in store anymore when it comes to inkjet printables.

I have an NEC ND-1300A (old school very popular 4x DVD +/- drive)

I would perfer to print closest to the hole as possilbe avoiding a white ring in the middle ( I think this is called HUB printable), and I would like a quality disc that wont skip and such towards the end.

So im curious as to what you guys think I should buy, and where. I know I could search to find my answers, and I did, the information is just all to overwhelming. Im taking 19 credit hours at Purdue Engineering, and I just dont have to time to sit and study for long time to get all the facts straight

I stocked up on Fujis MIJ back when they were on sale at Staples. Purchased five 30 packs (150). Still have 120 left.
I also have about 25 printable surface Maxells, also MIJ.
Only purchase I would make now is some +R DL disks. Am I right in assuming that Verbatim is the best one available in stores?

  5. I suggest your first concern should be what media burns best in your particular burner. Check the media/burner reference table on this site. Then try to find hub printable media of that brand/speed. Having media that prints well won't do you much good if it doesn't burn properly in your drive. If all else fails, I'd try TY, Ritek, TDK or Maxell as suggestions.
