    I keep getting this error when I'm trying to author my dvd.
    Warning: An error occurred while writing a file.
    The sub-picture or menu highlight graphics are too complex and exceed the DVD specification

    The error is telling you what is wrong. I assume you aren't using their templates, so it is your subpictures that need to be simplified. How did you create you menun ?

    I created a background menu in photoshop and open the image in dvd architect.
