    So I got some tips here in how to insert keywords into meta data for search engines to look up your website. Here's the example I found:

    See below for an example of keywords and optimized Web site Web site <head> tag content. (The site is a Harry Potter Web site):

    Keywords/Phrases: Harry Potter, Potter, Harry Potter news, Harry Potter merchandise, Harry Potter and wizards, hogwarts, muggle, Rowling, Rowling and Harry Potter, Hogwarts.

    </head> Content Example: <head>
    <title>Hogwarts Express — A Harry Potter Site</title>
    <meta name="description" content="The ultimate Harry Potter site. Features a wealth of Harry Potter resources, including news, message boards, reviews, and multimedia.">
    <meta name="keywords" content="Harry Potter, Potter, Potter fans, … Hogwarts Express, JK Rowling, Rowling, muggle, wizards, children's books, Quidditch, Nimbus 2000.">
    </head>
    So where would I input an edited version of this into a php forum? Into the overall_header file?

    Any help would be appreciated as I'm trying to increase the noticeablity of my website and I'm slowly learning the tricks. Thanks

    Is incorrect. The

    Code:

    Should not be there. And yes it goes in overall header, just find the <head> tag and put this part after it:

    Code:
    <meta name="description" content="The ultimate Harry Potter site. Features a wealth of Harry Potter resources, including news, message boards, reviews, and multimedia.">
    <meta name="keywords" content="Harry Potter, Potter, Potter fans, … Hogwarts Express, JK Rowling, Rowling, muggle, wizards, children's books, Quidditch, Nimbus 2000.">

    Of couirse you want to cahnge the keywords. BTW thw description is what you'll see below the links in a search engine result.

    Don't go crazy with the keywords either, if you use too many search engines will just ignaore it. Personally I don't go crazy with the meta keywords. Good titles, descriptions, good (and a lot of) text conent, *inbound and internal links with the keywords your trying to achieve......

    Try here, to quote a post I read yesterday: "this place is oozing with info". Kinda like a videohelp for webpages.
