Trying to figure out which internal dl dvd writer I should go with.. I have a hp computer and was looking at the hp DVD 6401 lightscribe. Has anyone used this? My other option is the benq 1625 dl lightscibe. Pricewise, I can get either for around the same price as the hp is on sale right now. I was thinking about going with hp only becuz my computer is a hp and it might be more compatible..? I like the software that comes with the hp, but the benq states that it comes with write right technology (tilt contro & worc II) and hp doesn't mention anything like that . Don't really know enough about dl writers to know what I should be looking for. Specs regarding write speed etc. are the same on both. Looking for recommendations? Sale is only on for a ltd time, so I'd like to get one asap. Thanks for your help!!

  2. From what I have read in other forums, the HP lightscribe writer is made by BenQ. Get the one that is cheapest.

I own the HP dvd640e. I'm comfortable with it. However, I've had some compatibility issues, even with the newest firmware jou4. Benq updates their firmware more regularly. HP is slowwww with firmware updates! I purchased the HP because it was the only one available at the time. If they were sitting side by side I would purchase the Benq.

BENQ has frequent firmware upgrades for their dvd burners which is a plus. Order your BENQ 1625 from newegg.com or from www.computergeeks.com during their green light specials.
