I have started to have problems with burning DVD's
The problem is that using DVDxCopy , Clone DVD or Intervideo DVD copy (even ulead DVD movie factory will not work)
the disc is only burning to 33% and then locks up.
It was three week since I burnt my last DVD (that work) , but in that time I install a windows update (which one I have know Idea) , Installed the lastest version on SLYSOFTS cloneCD , cloneDVD and Anydvd.
Yesterday I test NERO , and it I can burn a DVD ... and it works fine.
But I had NERO (v6) installed before the changes .
What should I do ???

IMHO Nero is the best burning software out of those you mentioned, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to recommend to continue burning with Nero. If you like the transcoding abilities of those other programs, you should be able to tell them to output to files on your hard drive instead of burning the finished product directly to disc.
If in doubt, Google it. -
Thanks for the advice .....
I ripped the dvd to the harddrive and then tried to burn file to the dvd. Again .. the same problem , it gets to 32-33% then locks up. (programs use dvdclone , intervideo and even my home movies with ulead)
But if I burn the file with NERO Recode it works fine.
Whats going on ???? -
What brand of discs are you using? Have you updated your drive's firmware lately - if not, have you tried updating the drive's firmware then burning?
I did have somewhat of this problem with cheaper media, specifically Dupsonic & Legacy - to a lesser extent, ProDiscs. The Legacys still will not burn, the others are fine after updating the firmware on my Plextor.
Anyway, I'd purchase one or two of the media recommended on this site (Fuji, TDK, Taiyo Yuden, etc.), and try a burn - after updating the firmware if needed.

There are several thing to try:
1. uninstall then re-install the offending programs.
2. AV scan and spyware check the computer.
3. Make sure you have enough free space on the HD.
4. When doing video work disable all running applications except AV.
5. Try operating the apps in 2000 compatability mode.
