  1. I have four hour vcd file on PC that I have ripped and encoded with Tmpenc 2.02 the audio and video are perfectly insync in the whole four hour file.

When I use Tmpenc to cut this into manageable chunks to write to CDR the first chunk is fine, and the subsequent chunks 7 in total all have audio out of synch with video by a growing amount.

I am using video cd format in the pull down menu in the merge and cut section of Tmpgenc.

This happens on 2 different four hour files I have.

    Any ideas....

    Thanx in advance.

Yup, use vcd cutter, a much better editing program, I have cut and joined up to 12 clips and never had a sync problem, with tmpenc I can't even do 2 most of the time. Great encoder though.

The other thing you can do which is even better, as long as you don't have to edit is to encode the 4 hours in segments using the source limit feature in tmpenc, you can do them all as a batch process and then just burn them.

  4. Somersby, I would use VCD cutter, but it falls on its ass when it see's the size of the source file ...4GB !

then I would encode it in four parts using the source limit function in tmpenc, takes the same amount of time and you can either burn them as is or at least they will be small enough to handle.
