  1. on some videos this happens in tmpenc and virtual dub and it causes my audio to go out of sync how can i stop this?

    Problem is that VfW can't properly handle bframes. So when you have a file which uses bframes that aren't packed, you get a decoder lag frame.

    If you input via directshow instead you won't have the problem.

    Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 2 or to the top of the plugin-list

    VfW = Video for Windows.
