So when does that high powered, zillions of times faster than cable, internet 2???

Isn't already in place at some universities????

How will this be implented for the home markets? I know many of the internet companies are rolling out fiber optic cables a lot closer to the home now.

Is there progress on this speed enhancement?

It was the same thing with the T1 line when it first appeared. Now you can have a 1.5Mbps DSL account, or even a 30 Mbps/5 Mbps Verizon FIOS account.

It's just a matter of time.

no no its not a connect type. Its a new stardard a new actual network. I won't get it. Its not designed for us to use. HOwever if we are lucky one day they will roll some of the stuff they are working on out to the internet.

But then we still are not working to transition to IP6 so I'm not holding my breath.
