Anyway to have an inserted chapter still render motion WITHOUT being linked to a chapter?
If the still is linked to a chapter dvd-lab has no problem allowing me to render motion for it, however the moment I unlink it bam it won't let me add motion anymore. I don't want to use the picture as a button so I don't want it linked. Anyway to get around this problem?
Thanks.

create your motion menus backgrounds outside DVD Lab Pro - then you have complete freedom. I create motion menus using After Effects and Vegas, then bring them into DLP afterwards. I never use DLP's render motion.

Easy. Render your motion menus first, then remove the links and re-create the chapter links how you see fit.
Make sure you have all your graphics in place before you render! Any layers/graphics you add after you render motion will not show up in the final product.
