I at this very moment have my Gamecube hooked up to my computer using the Belkin F5U207 USB device. Everything works fine because I tested it using the Windows Movie Maker , that's the only program I have to find out if it worked or not , silly but it worked. Can anyone here recommend a free program to use like a tv on my monitor so I can play the system. Thanks again for your help if you can provide it.

So you want to actually control what happens on your gamecube, but use your PC monitor as the display device ???
    If in doubt, Google it.

that is correct. I think the device that was recommended to me was a "vga box" not that plugs into your computer but plugs into your pc's monitor. The only problem now is finding one I guess.

A TV set will work directly. An S-Video to VGA adapter will be expensive and not work as well and cost as much as a tv but if you must, google S-Video to VGA.

Avoid connecting through the computer if gameplay is desired. The delays will make that extremely frustrating.
