  1. When I try to append two AVI files I get the following error.



    The information on the two files are below





    To me the files look the same but..... What do you guys think?

    I'd say that the different video bitrates is causing the problem. Is your end goal just to have this as one big AVI, or are you looking to convert to VCD/SVCD/DVD ?

    Try to use AviDemux.
    It appears to me to be more tolerant in appending avi's.

    Different bitrates don't matter. I remember when there was a bug with XviD where when you enabled a forced I frame for a zone it made all frames I frames instead of just the first so my end credits ended up too big despite the high fixed quant.

    I redid the credits correctly and was able to join a much lower single pass fixed quant file with a higher bitrate two pass VBR file.

    AVIMuxGUI would be another one worth trying.

    Just out of interest, what build of XviD do you have installed?
