Pinnacle LE 6 Academic Version Advertised for $79.99

I figured I would share this with everyone whom is a student of teacher. Pinnacle is offering the Advanced Academic Toolkit which includes LE 6.1 online for $79.99.

However, I have been unable to actually purchase it for the advertised price. I don't know if their estore has just not been updated with the correct price yet.

If you can't get it to work sorry. I have been researching LE 6.1 for a while and with the Avid/Pinnacle merge and the Studio 9 ultimate bundle selling for $99.99 I figured LE would be next.

Studio 10 has also been announced and from what I have read it will have the LE codebase. This should help make Studio 10 stable.

Personally, I'm waiting for Ulead MediaStudio Pro v8.0 due out in October. What an Adobe killer! That will only leave Sony in this space. Avid is way out of my range.

Has anyone had any luck with this? I have emailed pinnacle and I am going to call them today. So many things to do and so little time to do it in. If you get the deal to work let us know.

I was finally able to purchase this. I had to purchase it online for the $249.99 and then I called the support line and they credited my card $170. So I am a happy camper.
