  1. I have a movie video split in 2 avi file (part 1 and part 2)
When trying to convert them to a mpg2 file (ntsc dvd compatible) tmpgenc will not let me change the bitrate and file size

so i extract the audio in a wav file using goldwave for both files.

    then ...
i convert to mpg2 with tmpgenc using the avi as the source for video and the wav for the audio (for both files)

after converting these 2 files i put both mpg in avicodec, one is showing me de A1 codec is : Unknown (0xc0)
    and the other : Mpeg-1 audio layer 1 (0xc0)

Why they are different ... i did exactly the same operation on both these file. Can anyone explain me this ?

If you want to convert to NTSC DVD-compatible MPEG2, then for DVD-compliance reasons you should be using either Linear PCM (WAV) or AC3 audio. However, you could probably get away with MPEG-1 layer 2 (MP2) audio, as I'm led to believe that most players will still play this.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    I CAN read

I daresay it was something to do with your settings in TMPGEnc.

Since you haven't elaborated any on what settings / template you used, I can't give you any answer ... but since I've never seen that sort of behaviour, I'm confident it must be something you are doing wrong.

... and not being able to change the bitrate or size should be able to be overcome by getting out of the wizard, and loading the unlock template.
    If in doubt, Google it.
