I encoded a 23fps movie to 25fps for burning to dvd using diko, the problem is that the vobs in the video_ts folder do not play back properly, the video is fine but the audio is too fast, it sounds like chipmunks talking through the movie, is there a way of isolating the soundtrack to get it playing at the right speed and in sync using the vobs i have? I have used diko many, many times but have never had this problem.

Extract the audio seperately and use something better to change the sample rate. I have seen this occassioally when going from 22khz to 48khz, and it is usually the software at fault. I know Sound Forge does not exhibit this problem, but occassionally SoftEncode does. You need to make this change before DIKO get's it's hands on it. Afterwards the damage is done.

Sorry guns1inger, my mistake. The movie wasn't 23 but 25 fps. I am going to try divx to dvd, i already tried cucusoft video converter but the video quality is bad compared to what FreeEnc gave me. I will post back soon. Thanks guns1inger.
