  1. Hi, guys,

I wonder if you could help me out here, I´ve tried to defrag my C: drive and it keeps finishing the cycle and leaving the disk fragmented.
    Like this:

I get a "was unable to defrag some volumes".
    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Try defragmenting in safe mode and ensure there are no tasks running in the background.

Get a real defrag program -- the one that comes with Windows is shit. It's just a 'lite' version of Diskeeper (sp?).
Hell, even if you get the real full version of Diskeeper it will be somewhat better.
O&O Defrag is a fantastic defrag program, with a variety of options for defrag method.

I had the same problem you do, way back before I 'upgraded' -- it kept telling me that a program was writing to the disc and therefore the defrag couldn't finish.
I had a Trojan Horse. Once I killed the trojan, the defragging problem went away.

  5. Sorry for the sarcasm.

I asked a similar question the other day and a few people recommend this program O&O

    http://www.oo-software.com/cgi-bin/download/download-e.pl?product=OOD8PRO

I have to say that this by far is the best defrag disk utility I've used. I'm in the trial phase but so far I'm really impressed with it. You can sort your data by date, most accessed or name. It's very versital.

    G'day. Buenos dias
Diskeeper is the same as Windows uses. O&O is fast and efficient.
