    Hi,

    I bought in US Sony DCR-TRV 19 camcorder which obviously had NTSC standard. As I live in Europe, I would be much more happy if the camera would work with PAL standard.
    Ther's a question, is it possible to do somethinng about it (apart from buying PAL camera ), either by software means or changes in camera hardware to "convert" it from NTSC to PAL?

    I think you are out of lucky with your camera.

    Changing interlaced video from NTSC to PAL almost always give poor results. I think the best option would be getting a DVD player that can play NTSC videos authored from your NTSC home movies.

    in europe almost every tv and player can play ntsc, so just convert it as ntsc and play it.

    dont' bother to convert it. if you still want to, procoder is the best option for ntsc-pal conversion.
