    Hi 2 everybody here..
I have a problem with my jvc MH30s... i have some movies in the dvd's hard disc taken from an endoscope camera.. i can see them navigating with the dvd recorder's menu. Everything ok.

I want to burn tht movies on a dvd (dvd-R) and to tranfer them om my pc for the elaboration.....bla bla bla ..

This dvd rec is used on a surgery room to record endoscopic operations ..and after some month i tried to extract from the recorder the movies..
i've tried with 3 or 4 dvds..with the same results..

What i get when i burn is an unreadable dvd.. if i play such burned dvd on my jvc DR MH30s it works fine ... if i play on other (different) dvd payer (stand alone or pc dvds) i dont see anything...
On my pc i see blank dvd .. if i try to copy it (with nero) i get unreadable format ..
Nero Disc Information shows 1 session some tracks .. with the 1st always "private" .. others mode 1 ..
I think tht the session is left open on all dvds to allow other data 2 be written...

What do i need to do for being able to play those dvds on my pc or on a stupid dvd player?

Thank in advance for your help

Use DVD-VIDEO mode, not VR mode.

    S,

sounds like you need to finalize the disk. If you do not finalize your computer will not be able to read it or play it on any other DVD player.

[curiosity: what is VR mode ?...a kind of packet writing?]

  5. If you have dubbed on a dvd-r disc DVWannaB is right: you need to finalize the disc to make it playable on other players and pc. btw: the manual is a good starting point 8)

VR/video-mode is only used for -rw on the JVC.

VR can be done on RAM or RW ...
I'm not sure about the hard drive, but was worth mentioning.

Finalizing is likely the issue, however.
