Help me...........(TMPGEnc)

Hi, i have a problem with these things....

1.VCD=GOOD, SVCD=BETTER and DVD=BEST.....am i right ???

2.I cant use the DVD,PAL layer, it says that it cant do that cause of that the "width*hight* and framerate" are wrong or something like that. Why ???

3.Help me to get the DVD layer to work, cause i want the best quality....


Btw... I have used these (smartripper, DVD2AVI and now TMPGEnc)

Do you want create VCD or SVCD or DVD?
What is your source? DVD or VHS ?
Do you want to put in CD-R or DVD-R ?

My source is a DVD disc.
I did rip it with Smartripper.
Then i did run DVD2AVI.

Now i want to use the DVD-Layer PAL in TMPGEnc.
But i cant, cause it says that i cant start encoding cause it is something with the "framerate" and the "width and height"
