    The guide I've linked to a couple of times pretty much holds your johnson for you throughout the process, and there's a number of all-in-ones that will do it in pretty much one click (and results may vary) ... but you gotta undertake the correct preparation (making sure you have the codec(s))first.
    i hear what youre saying jim.
    i dont want to come of as a person that just tries something once and gives up, but believe me ive spent SO MUCH time trying different things and types of software, and advice...that after a while i do get frustrated...
    believe it or not i am a technical person, just in the world of audio.
    all this stuff here is new to me and it seems that unlike in pro-audio where there is one piece of software that DOES EVERYTHING, with this theres A LOT of different types of software that seem to do one thing (although I did pay almost $1000 for my copy of Cubase SX, so i guess i cant expect too much from free software)

    anywas, enough rant, time to try your advice

    oops, i forgot that im using shrink right now for something else...so its gonna be a while (at least 2 hours)

    but will try your advice soon as thats done (unless i pass out in the meantime; its 1 in the morning here)

  3. ok, well i installed the codec and encoded the file again.
    and once again, when i threw it in shrink - all pixels...
    no improvement.

    heres the gspot analysis:



    i havent tried the avi2dvd technique yet
