It sounds good, except for the price of $99.95 unless a other TMPGenc product user then 2 price levels of 59.95 and 79.95.
Cheers

Nothing here says "pro".
More like "amateur version 2".Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

It SAYS "Pro". I like the packaging. Software looks cleaner. Better integration. I think they finally hired a REAL business guy and a REAL IT guy. Can't wait to download the trial. "Pro" for the masses!
If only edDV hadn't convinced me to go with Mainconcept driven products for their encoding expertise, i.e. Ulead, Sony, Adobe.

Some of the features interest me.
Frame Accurate edits now where it just re-encodes the cuts GOPs. Vs the older DVD Author's Gop accurate edits.
The ability to transcode to fit if the source is a little to large.
2 audio streams can be added now. Now if I'm a little oversize I don't need to author and then run through shrink.
Adding a slideshow to a project without needing separate s/w.
Background music for menus.
Customize layout of menu items such as background images, thumbnails, buttons and text by applying various special effects (color shading, shadows, transparency, lighting, etc.) Looks like really nice menus may be possible with this product.
And to me interesting the ability to shift the audio to synchronize it. And filter the audio as well as adjust the audio level.
Cheers

Almost sounds like NeroVision Express.. With the exception of being able to add another audio track...

I don't see support for subtitles and worse yet, it requires an INTERNET CONNECTION for ACTIVATION.
No thanks. I'll stick with my current version (1.5)"Shut up Wesley!" -- Captain Jean-Luc Picard

1) Way to make preview screen larger. It is small on 1600x1200 monitor resolution. Should be able to maximize DVD Author window to full screen. **ADDED
2) Correct the combined maximum bitrate you can use. Currently a warning pops up, that says "The combined bitrate can be no more than 9848kbps." This is wrong. Maximum combined bitrate for all DVD players is 10080kbps.
3) Way to download third party themes for backgrounds,buttons,etc... There are not enough pre-made themes.
4) Hot-Keys for all preview window buttons, including fast-forward, rewind.
5) Motion Menu selection of beginning/end frames, instead of just seconds.
6) Way to set a clip to "First Play" and hide the track menu completely. Can only hide chapters.
7) Built-in subtitle creation and support.
8) Ability to use "transition clips" to add transitions between main menu and track menus.
9) Add support for multiple audio tracks. *ADDED
DVD Writing Tool needs a buffer, "underrun burn protection", and the ability to verify the burn.
