hello all,
when i cut a mpg file using the mpeg tools, the output file loses its audio. Can anyone help me.

Stop using TEMPGenc to edit video. Many people have terrible audio problems when using it to edit video. Some do, some don't. I do too. To the best of my knowledge, there is not fix if you are one of the ones who has problems.

Another suggestion is http://www.womble.com, who makes a very nice, easy to use MPEG editor called MPEG2VCR. I have never used videoredo, but it's supposed to be good.

I use a combination of software to make vcd. For capturing from camcorder I use Ulead video studio 7, best thing about this is that it can capture in Mpeg, Svcd or VCD formats direct from the camera, this will save space on PC. U can use the same software to edit, make menu etc, but u cant make indexes, for this I use vcdeasy, in this u can make indexes with regular interval of time, that will work with your prev and forward button in DVD remote. Important thing i learned it that while saving file in Ulead smart reder should be uncheckd, it causes problems while using file in other software. Am i making any sense.
