I have a BenQ dw800a. its specs are 8X Write speed, and 4X ReWrite speed. What type of disc should i use, a 8X or 4X. If i need a 4X, do they still make them? I am currently burning a movie with a Memorex 8X DVD+R disc, and I have no idea whats going to happen. Also, I can't upgrade my burner. I try to flash it, it says it can't, so if anyone can help me with that, greatly appreciated.

I just took a look at http://rima.com/ and they list a couple of brands of 4X, + and - and several pages of 8X, + and -, so 4X is getting harder to find. 8X should work fine. If you want to go slower, burn them at 4X, but I would try 8X speed first.
For the firmware problem, take a look at http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=93924 to see a discussion of firmware.
