Clean the DVD laser lens or try different media.

You are writing and erasing RW DVDs? I've only benn able to get about a dozen write erase burn cycles before before most rw discs enventually crap out.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

More of a question than a reply:

I have lost the manual that came with my recorder and now I would like to "record over" some of the dvd +rw discs. Do I have to erase the programs already on the discs and then just record or is there a machine command that will tell the recorder what spot on the disc to replace?

Thanks, it is very tough to get these fancy machines to work without the book.

If you were able to record more on the disc, it would be likely be added to the end of your recording. The software may be able to flag it to play back in place of a different clip, but that would be more like editing. If the disc hasn't been finalized, you may be able to put more on it.

I would just erase the RW and start over. If you wanted to save it for edit, it would be easier to transfer the file to a computer and edit it there. Then you can add or subtract what you want.

As far as a manual, have you tried a Google search for a PDF file of the manual? Most manufacturers also have them available on their website.

And if you have further questions, please start your own thread.
