SVCD to MOV or AVI using ffmpegx?

HI!

I'm trying to convert an svcd to .mov (or avi).

I am using ffmpegx and in the disc, there is a file marked:
MPEG AV.

When i try to download the file to my desktop, it says, "cannot be read".

So, i tried opening it from the disc with ffmpegx.

It read it, but can't convert it...i pushed the encode button,
the dialog box comes up...says it's finished right away, but no
file.
