I'm new to this. Basically, I gather that a VCD menu is not like most DVD menus, with selectable items on the screen, but rather just a guide, telling you what will happen if you choose certain things. Is this correct? And does the menu take the place of track 1? I'm having trouble visualizing how it al works, and I think that in addition to all these guides on how to create menus, there should be something more basic on how they work. If there is already such a guide, I'd appreciate it if they could throw a link my way.

    Thanks

  2. (S)VCD menu is something like you select given number in your menu to go to the track you desire. Unlike DVD menu you cannot use up-down arrow but you still can use skip>>, <<skip, play/enter, and stop.

You can read this topic which is all about Menu and TSCV

  3. You are right. Menu will take the place of track 1.
To know about menu, search "phillips VCD authoring" on google or any search engine. It will throw you links.
