Hi there, I got a philips 642/37, and i wanted to know could i hook up a 6.1 speakers to this dvd player? help!
Well it be ok to hook up a dell 19in widescreen?

1) If your amplifier supports 6.1 sound, the player will pass a 6.1 signal to the amplifier. I am assuming that your question is intending to ask if the player can output a 6.1 signal. Of course, the player itself can't accept speaker connections directly.
2) Unless there is something special about this TV, it should be fine to hook up the DVD player to it. Please note that this player can't output a video signal at HD resolutions, so if your question really is a bad to way to ask if the player can upsample, no it can't.
