Vegas Video 4.0: HELP! No audio after burn/save to harddrive

Help. I need your expert assistance. For some reason, the audio will not play after it has been converted to .avi or .mpg2. It plays fine in the edit mode of the short video I'm making, but not in the final format.

Can someone help me with this? I need to show this video tomorrow. It's my niece's first birthday.

    Please help. Thanks.

What format is the audio being output into ?

    AC3 possibly ?

Do you have an AC3 Codec installed ?

What software are you playing the final format with ?
    If in doubt, Google it.
