Big panic around these parts about gas shortage from Katrina. About six or more stations around my place are out of go juice. I had to wait behind six cars at the thrid station I tried, and the pumps were running slowwww. Probably one of the last to get gas at that place.IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT? -
The expensive places around here are asking 2.899 for gas. I forgot to check at places where I would actually buy gas though (much lower). I'm also guessing that my gas doesn't come from the Gulf of Mexico. It probably comes from refineries in the Philadelphia area (Delaware, NJ, etc.)

Takes me almost 2 hours now with a rider doing 80% of my yard!!
And i heard it was $6.00 a gallon in georgia also..
Thank god it's stayed at 3.20 a gallon for regular here the last 2 days now!!
gonna wait and see what happens tomorrow, but i saw it was as much as 3.58 in diff areas of michigan, but still pretty low compared to alot of places i have seen. -
Stockbridge is south of Atlanta - it's hardly a high-rent kind of place. I'd be shocked if it was really from there. I work in a call center and asked a caller from LA how much gas was today. He said around $2.89, which is what it was today in Jacksonville. While I suppose it's not impossible, I'd be surprised if gas was that much more in GA than in LA. It's more likely that the prices are $2.87, $2.97 and $3.07....Originally Posted by Webster

I dunno, from the sound of it, he seems to have a much bigger yard than 14' wide. I mean 2 hours on a ridding lawn mower for 80% ???Originally Posted by zzyzzx

Pretty close!! my front yard is pretty bug but my backyard is F'n huge!!! all fenced in with cyclone fence, everyone always say's it must be great to have a backyard that big... and i say, yeah, it looks nice until you have to mow the damn thing every week!!!!!

Actually i have one of those little distance measuring devices (can't recall the name) that has the wheels on it and you walk with it and it tells you how many feet you have walked, i used it years ago to measure my property but i cant recall the exact dimensions but maybe i'll have to check it tomorrow. -
When I lived in San Francisco, there were ads in the paper for someone who had a herd of pygmy goats who'd bring them around to eat up the brush surrounding homes on hillsides, where regular yard tractors, etc., couldn't reach....Originally Posted by Webster

Depends on where... Vancouver has a low of about $1.01, here in Calgary is low about $1.06 and Newfoundland is high about $1.55. Quite a difference place to place...Originally Posted by canadateck

Am I the only one that finds it strange that oil prices are back to pre-Katrina prices and yet the price of GAS is not? Hmm....
I think now that they have us accustumed to higher gas prices, they aren't going to go down! MORE MONEY FOR THEM! -

The price per gallon actually never changed from barrel production at oil companies. The only change was less production for a few days. The increase in price was only by the Gas companies to "lower demand"?
