  1. I had a thread but can't find it again.

I have a msn web tv setup. Its the latest one from msn. I wanted to try to use it as a converter to play movies from my comp to my tv. Soooo i got a NVidia GeForce fx 5500 graphics card. It has SVideo out put and also a monitor connection that has a svideo connection and a yellow (i think video ) connector along with a ethernet connection. I thought maybe if i hooked up the svideo it would play on the tv...not so...my tv has no svideo connection. So back to the converter..the msn web tv...i then discovered that i could play these videos through the web tv by pluging in a ethernet connection. The problem with this is msn web tv will not support avi files..but does support MPEG1...so i have to convert everything to MPEG1...plus you have to select the video from web tv. well if anyone can make sense of this mess i would be gratefull.

  2. Your video card should be able to display on TV whatever shows on your computer monitor either through RCA yellow plug or sVideo , you also need sound from your sound card. TV portion of it may have to be activated through screen properties ( right click on desktop> left on properties> settings> display etc. ). Your TV must be switched to monitor also. if you plug both svideo and RCA at the same time may not work atleast sVideo portion of it.
