  1. Hello all, this is a new one to me, i have recently done 2 project conversions, the first was a 90mb .vob to DivX using virtualdub, and gordian knot, the second project was converting a Divx file to a .m2v file with TMPG enc Dvd Express, both projects are 25fps, i have done many of these in the past and they have been ok, but for some reson they have both turned out to 20fps, any help please, thanks

  2. Don't turn on Forced Film in DGIndex (Video->Field Operation->Forced Film). Or, if you didn't do that, don't IVTC in the .avs (No Telecide/Decimate).

  3. That isn't the problem, forced film is not used

  4. Gotta be Force Film or IVTC. Maybe you have IVTC set in TMPGEnc.

Try opening the AVI in VDubMod and going File->File Information. It's 25fps? Try opening the AVS in VDubMod. It's 25fps? Try opening the M2V in VDubMod. It's 20fps? Then I guess it had to have happened in TMPGEnc.

  5. Yes sorry, i had forced film selected when i was previewing in dvd2avi, , everything was showing as 20fps. Also 1 more thing regarding the DivX to DVD project i was doing, the audio is coming out ahead of the video after authoring with TMPG enc DVD author, usually i have no problem, i stripped out the mp3 file with virtual dub to a .wav file as usual using full processing mode, the audio sample rate was already 48,000Khz so i dident adjust anything in virtual dub, then i converted to Ac3 2 channel with Besweeet, i did not have down sample rate convert box checked and i did not have the convert frame rate to box checked, this is my normal method of getting an ac3 track for the author program and usually like i said i dont have any lip sync when authored, any ideas?, many thanks btw

  6. Hi-

the audio is coming out ahead of the video after authoring with TMPG enc DVD author,

It's ahead by the same amount all the way through? Then it should be a simple matter of finding out the delay and then setting the delay in the authoring app. I don't use TDA, so I don't know for sure if it has that ability. If not, then use AC3 Delay Corrector to set the delay in the audio before muxing.

If it's a progressive asynch (gets worse as the video goes along), then that's something different, and I would trace it to Virtual Dub. If the MP3 is VBR, I'd use NanDub or VDubMod to extract the MP3, and not convert it to WAV, but let BeSweet handle the whole job. That's just me though, and others may do it differently.
