  1. alright this is mayby not a trick, but it will help almost any program run faster,
open up any program you want and click crtl+alt+del to get to the windows task manager. under applications right click the program you want to speed up and click "go to process",
then while there, right click again and set to high,
now your program will be running at a much higher priority then before,
    oh and ignore the warning,
I used it and my computer was fine, just don't try "real time" or your computer may crash,
also I suggest only using on one program at a time and do not have other programs open, as your computer might freeze up,
    tell me your results

    Thx for the tip

But isn't that just the same as going to TMPEGnc\Options\Task Priority and setting it to high.

Or when you use Virtual Dub and you finaly start the encoding process you can set it's Priority Option to Highest.

  3. it's slightly different,
when you put the priority on high the program is "taking" the system resources it needs and if you open up another program the computer has to devote some of it's resouces to that program as well,
by enabling the process itself on high, the computer gives all(real time) or most(high) to that program as a constant
in other words other functions are devoted even less timme to them then normal
    hope that made sense
