I have followed the guide from doom9 to convert an avi file using CCE.
The conversion went fine, i set an average bit rate of 6000 and the result was a 4.2gb output file which i was able to convert to a dvd using TMPGenc DVD Author.
However, when i play the film there is no sound. When i converted i choose not to have the sound of a seperate file, and so i presumed that the sound would be with the movie, but it is not present. When i choose to the have the sound as a wav file, it was around 1gb. Will this not reduce the quality of the film by a great deal, or is this expected?
What i really want to know is how i really should ensure sound with it. If i have it as a seperate wav file, does this mean that i have to choose a lower average bit rate so that i can fit all the data onto the dvd.
Thanks

you can let tmpgenc dvd author convert the wav to mpeg audio or ac3. just add the video and then the wav and select compression for the audio.
