  1. Hello Everyone!
I have a problem. I have this wedding video of my cousin and it doesn't play on my DVD. And yes, my DVD can play VCDs. Why it doesn't play is because most usually VCDs have 5 to 6 folders in them. The problem with my VCD is that those 6 folders are inside another folder, so the VCD doesn't auto play. On top of which when I play it on my computer it works fine but when it gets to 9:52 min it gets stuck. Windows Media Player says that the CD might be dirty or damaged. But if I skip one or two minutes before 9:52 min it works fine. Example - [9:40 (skip) 11:00min]. I tried burning it al over again but what it does is when I play it on my DVD player is: (1)only burns to 9:52 min, or (2)reads disk error. I have tried using ISOBuster to extract the raw and the mpg(s). But it either does 9:52 min or at the end its size is 0KB. I have also tried TMPGEnc to fix my VCD. I have tried recording the movie with screen capturing softwares on my computer but at the end its either choppy or the audio it teribble on the DVD player (audio is okay though on my PC). Now I am fresh out of ideas. I am here at this forum to ask how ever many people are here for help. And I hope that I can get help on how to fix this VCD. Please help me. And thanks in advance to anyone who helps!

The simple answer is to request another copy of their wedding video - it may be your copy is truly bad (bad burn, faulty input video file, etc.).

Remember, GIGO is the rule when it comes to video projects. Don't use a known faulty source as your input, or you know what kind of quality your output will have. Judging by how it dies around 9:52 on your computer, I'd say that the problem is with the VCD itself. Replace that copy with another one and see what happens.

Good luck and let us know how you fared!

    Cheers!
