  1. I converted my wav audio to ac3 audio using Besweet. The command used was the following

    "C:\Program Files\besweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "C:\audio.wav" -output "C:\audio-New.ac3" ) -ssrc( --rate 4800 ) -ac3enc( -b 224 )

When I bring it into TMPGenc Author everything seems to work except when I preview it when I'm creating chapters. I get no audio. If I then remove the AC3 audio and replace it with the WAV I used I get audio?

    What Gives?

  2. Thanks for the link but I don't get audio in the final project. I wonder why that is. Not having the ac3 plug-in only stops the AC3 conversion not the support of the format... Right? Pretty weard..... If I can't get this resolved maybe I'll try the MP2 conversion....

no audio on your computer? or dvd player or? and is final project after you authored it? don't trust the preview.

and besweet/belight/ffmpeg ac3 may not work on a few players.

    Watch it using what?
If you play the AC3 before authoring, do you get sound?
Have you tried ffmpeggui for wav to AC3 encoding?

  6. Sorry about that. I am watching it on my television using a Pioneer DVD player. I wasn't aware that you could just play an AC3 file. What software can I use to play AC3 files? That would be an easy test to see if the AC3 conversion worked correctly.
I have not tried ffmpeggui but I'll look into it.

    Thanks

I think there's a plugin for WinAmp, (Yes, I have one installed: Valex's AC3 decoder), MediaPlayer Classic plays it fine, and on my system, PowerDVD plays AC3 if I just click on it. It's just another audio codec, like mp3, mp2, AAC et al.
