I got some movies on SVCD and want to burn them on DVD. I was wondering what would be the best way to do this. Should I rip the SVCD and then encode them as DVD.
Also found some guide on how to do this with DVDLab, but not sure if this was a good way to do this. Since SVCD is 480x480 how will that work if I use the guides here? Would it convert it to DVD specs?

How is that aspect ratio going to be affected?

Quality wise it's best not to re-encode, the problem is that not all players can handle SVCD resolution on a DVD as it is not DVD spec. The DVD-Lab method is good, you can try it and see if it plays for you but don't count on it working on other machines.

Re-encode if necessary to get full DVD compliance.
